What is Hector?
Hector is a free farm management app developed by FarmAI. Farmers use it to record field activities, track their animals and manage invoices simply by talking or writing to an assistant, on iPhone, Android and computer. Hector has more than 1,500 users and is built for farmers in Belgium and France, in French, Dutch and English.
Is Hector really free?
Yes. The Free plan is free, with no time limit and no credit card: fields, animals, invoices and answers to your regulatory questions. The Pro plan adds the electronic crop protection register, the regulatory check and working as a team.
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. If you can send a text message, you can use Hector. Just talk or type normally, Hector takes care of the rest.
What data can I record?
Sowing and harvest dates, fertilising, irrigation, spraying, births and treatments of your animals, observations, purchase and sales invoices… and much more.
Does Hector help with inspections?
Hector records your activities in detail and lets you export the history of your fields and animals as a PDF.
What if Hector gets it wrong?
Every recorded activity can be viewed and edited: you can correct or delete it at any time. For crop protection treatments, a summary asks you to confirm before saving.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We guarantee the security and confidentiality of your data using advanced security protocols.
Which devices can I use Hector on?
On iPhone, Android and in your computer's web browser. Your data is synced everywhere.
Can I work with my colleagues?
Yes. You can follow your colleagues' activities and chat with them. With Pro, you can also share your farm with other users, with read-only or edit access.
Is Hector ready for the electronic crop protection register?
Yes. The electronic register of plant protection product use becomes mandatory from 1 January 2027 in Belgium and France. With the Pro plan, Hector manages your crop protection stock: you record purchases (on the page, by dictating them or by photographing the label), usage is calculated automatically from your treatments, and you can export your full register at any time.
